PROJECT
17 years ago we installed two Automatic Systems BL29 traffic barriers at the entrance to McLaughlin & Harvey Head Office in Mullusk, Belfast. Last year, in 2020 we were asked to upgrade the two traffic barriers to the latest model.
SOLUTION
An 8 metre wide entrance, our Perimeter Security team supplied and installed two new 4 metre wide Automatic Systems BL229 rising barriers. The BL229 is a universal barrier renowned for its high performance and reliability, making it an ideal barrier for a variety of applications.
In line with current safety regulations the barriers are fitted with LED boom lights. They were installed with safety loops, safety photocells and a free exit loop. Staff will access the site using an Auto Number Plate Recognition system. All visitors will gain entry via push button system in the guard room.
RESULT
BL229 rising traffic barriers are a cost-effective solution to control traffic flow and limited access to premises. Mark McKee, Operations Director at Breezemount spoke of the reliability of Automatic systems barriers. “If you’re looking for a product that’s built to last, look no further than traffic barriers from Automatic Systems. We’ve been their Irish partners since the 1990’s. During this time, we have had many returning customers who have bought these barriers previously and come back to buy another. If regularly serviced and maintained, I have no doubt that these barriers will still be operating in 17 years and beyond.”
